Requirements for issuance of No–Impediment Letter (for Marriages between Malawians and Foreign nationals)
Letters of no-impediment to marry are issued by the Office of the Registrar General in Malawi. Applicants are required to have their documents authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Malawi. The Mission will only assist with an endorsement letter.
Requirements for endorsement of letter of no impediment to marry:
- Authenticated certificate of no impediment to marry
- Malawi passport
- National ID
- US$ 20 fee
